Years 6 camp recount

WALT: Summarise a week long experience into a recount.
This story is all about years 6 campers. We went to Camp Bentzon on Kawau Island. Kawau Island is the most beautiful place I have seen in the North Island
in my life. Everyone was very excited and very happy about going to camp.

There were four different groups and they were Bentzon, Mansion,Kawau and Catz. In each group there was a’s and b’s, each group had two leaders, a girl and a boy. I was in Bentzon A and in my group my leaders were Talita and Hosea. Some of my favorite subject on Camp Bentzon was kayaking, raft building and confidence course.

The first thing, we did was sailing and  my partner was Talita. First when Talita and I got into the water, I was scared. When we came back from the sailing it was morning tea and we had some cookies. Our next activity was the confidence course, at confidence course we needed to be as dry as we could.

Before we had dinner each group needed to set tables everyday. First night we watched camp movies.On second night we played spotlight and it was a lot of fun. It was the best night in my life. The next night it was the concert night and bentzon performed school ambassadors. We came second with catz on the concert night. mansion came first and kawau came third.

On the last day, Mr Goodwin said, we were playing volleyball. It was Bentzon A vs Mansion A. Then we played, bush baseball, then touch and swimming. Then
we packed up our suitcases and bags and then we put them in a room. We waited for the ferry to come and we stopped at the sandspit and we unloaded our bags and suitcases from the ferry. Then we put our gear on the bus and we had our yummy lunch. After we had our lunch, we jumped on the bus and when everyone got on the bus. Everyone was very tired. We got to school and we unloaded the bags and suitcase from the bus. Everyone took their bags and suitcases and went home.   

This week we are writing our camp recount. I hope in the future I can write more recount like this.

When our teacher said we are learning about the San Diego zoo I was so excited and I
thought we are going to the zoo. Then our teacher mr goodwin said, we are going to

Someone antecedently split their drink on the floor,
went the water onto the floor.
In our class we have been learning about onomatopoeia this week with miss Tito  and we draw 
onomatopoeia word like ouch, splat,splash and tap tap and lot more. Then we take a photo 
of the onomatopoeia word and we post it on the blog. I want to learn this in the future.

Our market day recount

Walt: Write an interesting and detailed recount

On the market day, so many people were excited and happy. We take each turn and 2 people go to buy
and 2 people stay at the shop. People bought a lot of food from kitchen and before the market
day, we had an auction and if we want to use our pt and pieces at the auction we can use or we can save  
for the market.  

We are having our market day which was an awesome way to use the money we had been saving. Most people were wasting all their pt and pieces, but some people hadn't. Now we know how to use the money. After the bell we go into our trade and enterprise group and people are working

Before the market, we were getting ready and making posters. We set up our tables and we hung up our bunting. We stick our posters in front of the tables. We set up our tables next to miss lavakula class. We put
on the tables a sheet and we put our candles on the tables. We were now ready.

Our group are selling skull candles and orange candles and we sold all the candles we had made
and  we got a lot of pt and pieces. When we are selling visitors are come to our shop and bought
our candles. Our business group is homeware.   

I can’t buy a lot of things because I was selling first and then when I go to buy there nothing  else to buy
it’s all sold out and I bought loom band bracelet and maths book cover and some food.  

I thought about the market day, It’s was good and everybody was happy and teachers are happy.

Inferencing skill

In the middle of the night In the jungle i saw a big ------------------------- As it hunts for its favourite food. Black and white and cuddly, it eats its bamboo. They talk very loud and they’re feet are huge.

This week we are learning about inferencing skill and poem. We need to make our own poem too. In the future i want to do this again.

yummy KoKo

Walt:put ourselves into the text.

This week we have learn about koko.We read the book and then we insert some pictures
and we screen shot the apia map than we copy hot koko drink photo and we post on the
poster and 2 more pods beans and pods tree.

Our trade fair

Walt: use language that paints a picture in the minds of our reader.
Trade and enterprise is about our business groups. Our goal is to take as many orders we can to make money for our product.  We have different business groups with different product that we are selling. If people walk by our mission is to make them feel like they need this product. Trade and enterprise is also known as our topic for term three.
Years 5 and 6 are learning about trade and enterprise and how to use money. The teachers are give us money, for example Mr g\Goodwin give me 1 pt and 50 pieces 1 pt like $1.00 and 50 pieces like 50 cents and we have our own internet bank then after school or at lunch time we can bank our pt and pieces and we got
bank teller. The teacher don’t always give us cash, they put it in our bank.

There are many business group there are home ware, toys, music, custom stationery, kitchen and jewellery. I'm in home ware,  in our group there are 5 people in our group and we are making skull candles and orange candles.
The big skull candles is 1 pt and the small skull candles is 50 pieces and the orange candle is 50 pieces and
if you buy the big skull candles you get buy 1 get 1 free.

when we are at the trade fair we split up 3 people stay and wait for people to order 1 of us go to order and buy
some food,loom headphone or other thing. The people go and order, they have 15 minutes to buy or order. When
it’s 15 minutes and we switch again. When we got our product the teacher take out from our internet bank.

I wonder what it’s gonna like on market day and miss Lavakula said in our business group if we make the
most order Miss Lavakula will give us price. I can’t wait to market day.
The week we are learning about our trade fair and pt and pieces. Pt and pieces are money, pt is dollar and pieces are the cents. At week 8 we are selling our product before week 8 the people 
order our product and then miss lavakula take out the pt and pieces in the people order our 
product but until we give the our product to them.

Bean bags for hire

The Bean bags are very soft, comfortable to sit on.

In the class time the bean bags are perfect to sit on. Instead of sitting on the cold hard floor or on a not comfortable and not relaxing chair, you will be able to sit on the perfect, comfortable  and soft  bean bag to do your work and relax.

The bean bags are filled with soft beans and covered in soft a rubber skin. They can be moulded into the shape of your choice. You can choose to sit on the bean bag like lay on them, or use it to lean back on.

The bean bags have in two different colours. A shiny sky blue one, and a leaf green one. It’s your choice to choose which one do you want to sit and relax on the beanbag.

The price is 3pt only. You just pay once at the start of the day and then you can sit on the beanbag for all day.

Remember to pay 3pt only and then you can sit and relax at a beanbag in the class all day.
